Guaicá

Ugly and bathed by the rivers and Gold Railroad Cut by Northwest Brazil, the land of City of Guaiçara were initially cleared by Antonio Francisco dos Santos Junior and was sold, mainly to Italian and Japanese immigrants. At that time other housing lot makers came there and greatly contributed to the development of the place, among them Julio Gonçalves Salvador and Pedro Amorin are remarkable.
Between 1921 and 1922 the railroad link was built with a station, which brought together a little "sale" to some "Bars", the core receiving the name "Guaiçara, the inhabitants of wood Guaiçara living there.
With the implementation of the coffee cultivation, the town progressed and allowed the timber trade with installation of a sawmill. In December 1931 this city was established by St. John the Baptist, patron of the city, whose birthday is celebrated on June 24. The district was created in Guaiçara City of Albuquerque Lins (Lins today), with installation in April 1923.
